How can I get the Vita version? Will it be physical or digital?

If the PS Vita port stretch goal is met, all backers receiving a copy of the game will be be able to choose between PC or PS Vita for their physical or digital game reward. If you're wanting to back the campaign and receive the Vita version, it's very straightforward: simply select a tier containing the digital or physical PC version of the game, and (assuming the stretch goal is met) you will be able to choose on BackerKit between PC or Vita for the version(s) of the game included in your pledge reward! For example, if you backed at the Fairy Tale Friends With Benefits tier, you would receive two questions in your BackerKit survey: one asking you to choose between the Steam version or the digital Vita version, and one asking you to choose between the physical PC version or the physical Vita version. Deluxe version Vita backers will receive the Vita game inside the same special deluxe box as the deluxe PC version (customized to accomodate the Vita game case). Please note that the digital Vita game keys offered through the campaign will only be valid for redemption in the North America region PSN store, and therefore a PSN account from that region is required for redemption. A North America region PSN account can be made and used on any PS Vita system, but switching accounts requires you to format the PS Vita system. This only applies to digital copies, not physical.

How much of the fandisc will be included in the localization?

The Hozuki chapters of Sharin no Kuni, Yuukyuu no Shounen Shoujo will be newly translated as part of the base campaign goal. If the $145,000 stretch goal is met, the remaining portion of the fandisc (the heroine epilogues and bonus story "A Moment's Rest") will be included as well! All localized content will be included in the digital and physical versions of the game offered as campaign rewards.

Why Sharin no Kuni? Isn't this game already translated?

While an unofficial fan translation of the game does exist, we felt that a title as classic and beloved as Sharin no Kuni deserves an official, full localization, made by a team in direct contact with the original developers. The creators of the aforementioned fan translation themselves have also acknowledged that it was made by an (at the time) inexperienced team and does not do the title justice. Furthermore, we felt that this was the perfect opportunity to make officially localized physical copies of the game and other merchandise available overseas for the first time ever, so even those who have already experienced Sharin no Kuni — whether via the fan translation or the original Japanese — can have a way to support the title and get their hands on exclusive, high-quality goods!

What are the laptop specifications/who is the manufacturer?

The laptops will be manufactured by SmashCore, a custom PC manufacturer based in Tokyo. The current planned specifications are listed below; however, as the laptops will not be manufactured until around when the game development is completed, some specs are likely to change. All changes will of course only be to higher-grade components.

How do I get add-ons?

Add-ons will be available via BackerKit after the campaign ends. However, you can add the cost of any add-ons you plan to purchase to your Kickstarter contribution, and those funds will be available on BackerKit when surveys are sent out. This will also help us reach our stretch goals, so we welcome and encourage you to do so!

Depending on your country’s customs laws, you may be required to pay a tax before obtaining your package.

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.

Why can’t I log into my account?

Request a login link to your survey by entering your email here:

BackerKit will send you an automated email with an invite link to whatever email you pledged with.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

Can I upgrade or get multiple copies of my pledge?

This depends on the project creator’s decision. If you are unable to see the ‘Want to switch your pledge level?’ after clicking on your pledge amount under “Pledge Level” in your survey, then the project creator would prefer people not to switch pledge levels.

I’m having password trouble! - I’ve reset my password but it still doesn’t work!

You may not have an account! You can create an account by clicking the account confirmation link in any survey you have. You can also get started with signing up for a BackerKit account at https://re-sharin-no-kuni-project.backerkit.com/backer_accounts/sign_up.

If you have created an account and have gone through the previous steps, but are still having trouble, please email us at support@backerkit.com. Let us know any important details (browser type, mobile device or computer, OS, etc).

Do I need a BackerKit account to fill out/receive my survey?

You do not need a BackerKit account to access your surveys through BackerKit BackerKit accounts help to manage and keep track of surveys and are especially helpful for folks who have backed multiple projects.

Do I have an account?

You may or may not have an account set up, but you can access the Account Request Confirmation from the bottom of the confirmation page of any of your surveys.

How do I update my email address in my backer account?

Contact BackerKit support! We will ask you to verify that you are the account holder, and to provide the email address to which you’d like to update. You can verify by either of the following methods:

* Write in to support@backerkit.com from the old email address you want to change. Let us also know the new email address to which you want to update.

* Send us a screenshot of your original pledge that shows your backer number on Kickstarter (or Indiegogo, etc)

How do I delete my backer account?

Email BackerKit support directly at support@backerkit.com. If you delete your account, you will still be able to access your surveys in the future – no account needed.

A backer account helps backers (like you!) to keep their surveys organized. Oftentimes, people who support projects that use crowdfunding support multiple projects across crowdfunding platforms. Any project that uses BackerKit will appear in your BackerKit account, and will allow you to help keep track of updates such as address, items, timelines, support, etc.
